How Did You Meet Your Best Friend?

How Did You Meet Your Best Friend ???

I don't think I'm one of those people that has a bunch of best friends. I have a TON of acquaintances...and a lot of people that know me, and people that I know. But I'm not one of those people that goes around saying "OH my B.F.F.!!! my best friend"

On one hand I can list my Best Friends:

6th Grade Sarah N: We bonded over a common enemy. Jenny. she was like a fuzzy dumpy troll of a girl ! (ok, maybe not that bad... but she was mean!) We had sleep overs, we played "Pocahontas" in the forest and Rollerblade while eating Popsicles in the summer. (until i moved...then her best friend became..JENNY! I may need therapy for this. ) My first experience with having someone in my life that i loved like family.

High School Amber L:

I needed a tag-team camp counselor for girls camp and we were in the same ward growing up. She was in a few of my classes in high school. Little did i know she would become a major player in my life( and one of the very best camp counselor choices EVER!). Dancing in the car to the radio, teasing her sisters, wreaking my car in her drive-way, laughing at her husband, bad-mouthing her ex husband, and loving and raising her daughter. At times, Amber and her family have been closer to me than my own. I love her for the amazing person she is, and the person she inspires me to be without knowing it.

Post Mission S. Woolley:The first time we met...We didn't like each other at all. couldn't stand each other. But there came a time when we hated those around us more. We couldn't be separated after that. Shes one of the few people I let hug me (that's HUGE) We have played together, cried together. partied together. gone to church together. and have been together thru multiple life changing events. her personality is infectious. I love her.

Current- SueAnn R: We met on a cruise. On the dance floor off the Mexican coast line. we bonded over our hatred of living where we live. we made each other laugh every single day. we still do. we go through the highs and lows of dating and non-datable people. her sarcastic sense of humor makes me smile. her kindness makes me smile. I don't know what I would do without her. Shes seen me at some of my lowest points and helped me laugh through them.

Last but not least Erin M: The first time I met Erin, she gave me a present. how do you not like people that give you things? how? HOW? and it only got better from there. from giggling on the back row of church like chatty 7 year olds. to late night dinners at Texas road house. Even experiencing something with her that i haven't done with anyone in a decade or more. Camping. Erin is hilarious and up for anything. A great friend to have close by for any and all emergencies (Even if she listens to country music.)

I ♥ Diet Dr Pepper.

Its almost past love and borderline addicted obsessive love.

But recently in an attempt to be a little healthier I gave it up. Yup. Cold turkey. Almost 2 months without my morning, afternoon, and evening beverage of choice. I stood strong thru the headaches and said "ill have water" at restaurants... I was strong!! I waved goodbye to caffeine and carbonation...

HOWEVER ...

After seeing ZERO change in my health (despite multiple changes) and being completely and utterly tired for almost 2 months straight... I plan on drinking a huge can of cold crispy cool bubbly 23 original and unknown flavors (I'm almost drooling as I type this out) I cant wait!!! (did I mention COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY TIRED ??????)

I have missed you Dr.!
